GREEN IMPACT
Green Impact

Helo takes the environment very seriously which is why we also take great care to ensure our sauna materials come from Green Friendly sources . Our timber primarily comes from the U.S., Canada and Scandinavia—world leaders in timber harvest ecology.

Our products also use very little energy and are designed with the environment in mind. They are energy efficient both at holding heat and delivering the heat. The majority of our infrared saunas plug in to 120 volt household circuits and our traditional sauna heaters are available in 120 volt models (for the smallest units) to energy efficient models that run on 240V household service. The typical energy use for our infrared units are $3 to $5 per month and $5 to $10 per month for our traditional saunas.

From a use standpoint, Helo traditional and infrared saunas have been proven to emit no VOC’s and little or minimal EMF emissions which provides comfort and peace of mind knowing you will be releasing toxins (saunas are well known for this) rather than exposing yourself to additional toxins, which are common in our everyday lives.

Lastly, as evidence of Helo’s concern for the environment and the impact our company can have globally, we have implemented the procedures and received the Lloyd's Register of London Certificate ISO-14001:2004 for our “Environmental Management Systems”.

Industry Leader
Helo with it's worldwide leadership presence, also takes it's role seriously in caring for the environment.  All the way from helping with roadside clean-up on a local level to demanding environmentally friendly raw materials in our saunas, we understand the impact each individual and company can have on our society.  

Sustainable Forests
Helo uses timber only from sustainable forests.  From sourcing our European Alder from Northern Europe to going through the extra steps necessary to use Canadian sourced timber in our infrared rooms, Helo wants to ensure our customers can purchase our product with peace of mind and a good feeling about the environment. 



Low Energy Use
Perhaps the best story of all, concerns energy use and heat bathing.  Saunas (both traditional and infrared) are considered the most energy efficient form of heat bathing around.  While other heat bathing products such as hot tubs or jetted tubs use a large amount of energy to stay warm or become warm, our units use low amounts of energy (average about $5 per residence for most products we sell) while surrounding you in the comfortable heat of a sauna.
